CELEBRITY | ENVIRONMENTAL PORTRAITS

      We've grouped celebrity and environmental portraits together because often we are expected to overcome challenges of light and location with this style of work. Environmental portraits are an area that requires expertise and talent combined. The creative process is exciting because it's a proactive form of photography rather than reactive. We setup and utilize sophisticated lighting equipment on location and often are lighting both the room and the subject. At the same time we are communicating with hair and makeup artists, wardrobe stylists, and entertaining our subject. It's a lot to juggle, and the pressure is on, but as a client it will just look and feel like a lot of fun because we shine under pressure.

    
     Our projects for this genre of photography have been far and wide, and not always portrait related. We've shot behind the scenes on movie sets and TV shows. Some notable projects on the celebrity front include co-creating four books on lifestyle and entertaining with celebrity party planner / TV show host David Tutera, two book covers for author and TV personality Star Jones, and Donald and Melania Trump's "Wedding of the Century" as the press hailed it. We photograph a lot of CEO's and executives creatively as well. It is our opinion that everyone should commission a portrait of themselves in their adult life as a part of their story and history. These types of sessions are well thought out, a lot of fun, and we can help to put the entire production into place so that you can just relax, enjoy, and be yourself.
     We offer environmental portrait sittings in both our New York Studio and our Connecticut studio as well. Both studios offer a wide variety of options and are organic room styled settings with unique furnishings in both indoor and outdoor settings.
